Da Capo (Do All Come And Play Orchestra)
www.mooremusic.org.uk/nclso/ In July 2003 Patsy Moore stopped teaching for Newbury College, where she had been running Newbury College Late Starters' Orchestra (NCLSO) since 1995. She is now organising and conducting Da Capo (Do All Come And Play Orchestra), an equivalent elementary orchestra for adult beginners, returners and rusties. No minimum standard is set, and players of all orchestral and brass or concert band instruments are accepted. The orchestra meets on Thursday evenings in term time at Padworth Village Hall (just south of the A4 near the junction with the southbound A340). Players with no experience of playing in a conducted group are welcome, so it's appropriate for people who are not yet ready for SMO (Grade 5 min requirement). There are currently eight players with the Saturday Morning Orchestra who have arrived by way of NCLSO/Da Capo.
