Christmas Meal - Fox and Hounds 3rd December 2011
A group of 28 members attended the third Christmas lunch at the 'Fox and Hounds'. Once again the food and service was excellent and our great thanks go to Frances for coordinating all the arrangements...

FALO and Garden Party - 18th June 2011
In the morning, final performances of Hansel and Gretel Overture, Upstairs Downstairs theme and A Children's Overture ...
By general agreement, one of the best performances SMO has produced in recent times - our great thanks to Jerry for inspiring us to such heights!
In the afternoon, one of the best attended Garden Partys in recent times - our thanks to David and Lynne for opening out their lovely home to us all...
As it happens, it was David's 64th birthday the following day, and amazingly, Lynne had prepared a cake to celebrate it. SMO members sang a stirring version of 'Happy Birthday'.
FALO - 11th December 2010
The final performances of the 'Enigma' Variations, Sleigh Ride, Sabre Dance and The Snowman Suite and the final SMO session with Tom as conductor. Remember however that Tom will be returning to us to conduct the 'Weekend of Music' at Queen Annes School on the 19th-20th February.

Christmas Lunch at the 'Fox and Hounds' in Theale 4th December 2010
To Patrick, once again many thanks for organizing this event which was particularly successful this year.....
Garden party this year took place at Nancy and Mike's house in Winnersh on the 20th June and those that attended were treated to fine weather, good company and excellent food. Our great thanks go to Nancy and Mike for their hospitality and to Patrick for masterminding the organization. It is a pity that several orchestra members had to foreshorten their stay due to other musical commitments the same afternoon....
