John Tims,
Conductor
John spent 32 years in the oil industry
as a research scientist. He is a cellist and a French horn player and
has many years' experience conducting brass bands. His tastes lean
towards Russian and Czech music.

Steve Wellman,
Assistant Conductor
Steve studied Music
and French along with the violin for his degree and is now a
Modern Languages teacher at a local secondary school. He
particularly enjoyed orchestral score reading at university
and this has led in recent years to him developing his
interest in conducting. Steve is particularly drawn to 19th
and 20th century Scandinavian and Russian music.
